Annual Meeting of THE Members (AGM) Notice

This meeting will be in person (recommended) and Virtual

If you will be attending Virtual, Registration is required.  It is not required for in-person attendees.

Date: Wednesday, September 18, 2024

Location: Port Moody City Hall, Second Floor Parkview Room, 100 Newport Dr, Port Moody V3H 5C3

Times:

6:30 pm - In-person Registration Opens
6:45 pm - Virtual Meeting Access Opens
                 (If you wish to be a 2024-25 Member you must pay your membership prior to joining online)
6:50 pm - Membership Registration for the Annual Meeting of the Members Closes
7:00 pm - Meeting Starts 

Agenda:

  1. Start the Meeting
  2. Check if we have enough members to vote (at least 5)
  3. Approve the Meeting Agenda
  4. Approve the Minutes from the Last Meeting
  5. President’s Report
  6. Financial Report
  7. Elect Directors (refer to Directors Information under Be a Member on our website)
  8. New Business
  9. End the Meeting

If you are not able to attend the Annual Meeting of the Member and wish to put your name forward, please complete the Consent to be a Director and Conflict of Interest forms.  Email the completed forms to the Secretary at secretary(at)goldenspike.ca.

Background Information:

  • What’s Happening: We’ll review the President's and Financial reports from the past year and elect the new Board of Directors. 
  • Who Can Vote: Active Voting Members and Honorary Voting Members will vote for Society Board of Directors.  Only Director-at-Large positions are elected by the voting members. 
  • Director-at-Large Elections: 
    • How Many: Elect between 5 and 11 Directors, including the Past-President. 
    • Requirements: Candidates need to be at the meeting or have submitted a Director Consent form and a Conflict-of-Interest form.
